Shameen’s brown eyes almost disappeared when she thought she wanted to erase one day from her memory, but it still seems so clear. Still in a state of trauma, she recounts the events that brought her to be in a safe house in Kabul, Afghanistan.

She was raped and stabbed nearly killed by her own husband seven days earlier. Her lips and eyes are shaking and full of fear when she told the incident. “He fell on his body on me. I can only scream,” she said.

She got married (by arrangement) 15 years ago when she was a teenager. Along the way she was tortured and abused, every day she suffered a blow with electric wires or metal plates. “He was chasing me with a hammer. He said, if I’m quiet he would stab me,” said Shameen about her husband’s behavior.

She and her husband can not have kids. In Afghanistan, the issues like this, mistakes are always blamed on women.

After a case of severe beatings, Shameen escaped from the house towards the police station. Her husband had promised the police that he was not going to attack her again. Thus, even Shameen relented and agreed to return to the house with her husband.

A few days at home, she was invited by her husband to go to the tomb of Shameen’s sister. Her sister was still 15 years old and burned to death because not able to please her husband.

Shameen said her little sister was 11 years old when he was forced to marry a man older than her sister. Her husband continued to beat her until one day her husband killed her.

When Shameen walked in the cemetery with her husband, he brought her to the place of worship. There, her husband insisted she fell to the ground, revealing a burka and raped her. Her husband threatened her with a knife and asked him, who will help him now. Shameen shouted as he slashed her neck and body.

Lucky, a passer rescued. Now, she has no one else to lean on, not even her parents. In their eyes, Shameen has made them embarrassment, an offense that can be executed.

In Afghanistan, a woman blamed for the injustices they experienced. Shameen said, when her sister was murdered, her parents turn a blind eye. She missed the parents and siblings but she knew she could not see them again. “They’ll kill me,” she said without blinking.

She is now hiding in a safe house, isolated, and alone. Like most women of Afghanistan, she lost all hopes.

Afghanistan is a country that for centuries looked at women as property, is not considered equal. Women are often beaten, raped, and even sold to the highest bidder. There is little place for women to complain.

The government took Shameen to a shelter run by Women for Afghan Women (WAW). The organization started in New York, United States, providing humanitarian assistance for women who do not know that they have rights. Currently, in that safe house, WAW gives attention, security, and education for women and 54 children.

According to United Nation’s institutions for women (UNDF for Women), about 90 percent of Afghan women suffer domestic violence. However, there is only less than a dozen places like WAW’s safe house in Afghanistan and was usually managed non-governmental organizations. The perpetrators are rarely prosecuted or punished, and most women are afraid to say anything about the violence they experience.

“Their mother is beaten by their father. They were also beaten by their fathers or brothers. This is a way of life,” said Manizha Naderi, director of WAW. Naderi is an Afghan-American who grew up in New York and returned to Afghanistan to work with other women in hopes of bringing change to the country. Although, he says, a change that requires several generations.

“They saw their mother beaten, they saw their sister, their aunt, everyone,” said Naderi.

Not just women who suffer. Hosnia is eight years old cheerful girl. She likes to play with toys and other little girls in the shelter. She shakes her body on the mat where she sits on. The shaking rocks her green plastic earrings she wore when she spoke with a muffled voice.

“I’ve got trouble,” she said when asked what she was doing at the shelter.

Her smile faded as he recalled the fact that her being there. Three years ago, when Hosnia age five, she was raped and left to die outside his home in northern Afghanistan. Her father found her blood-covered floats in the middle of a small river. She spent a month in hospital to recover his small body of these brutal attacks.

Since love and fear of her life, her father took him to the safe house was owned by WAW. According to WAW, the rapist of Hosnia is a teenage boy from a wealthy family. That teen sentenced only for a moment, he was quickly released from prison because of tribal and family connections. WAW was pressing the authorities to review the case. Adolescent rapists were later sentenced to six years in a youth prison in Kabul.

The rapist was serving three years. Hosnia’s parents are still afraid of their daughter’s life. Thus, the shelter becomes home now, and women and children there be a family. “We’ll take care of him until today,” said Naderi.

Hosnia father, a poor farmer, knew an opportunity for her daughter to have a future in a country where rape victims are punished is precisely when he grew up in the shelter. It has dozens of stories about broken hearts; it also is home to dozens of women and girls who have the courage to live in a country where being a woman are one of the greatest dangers.

“I am, therefore I exists” is a phrase that affirms the existence as a being. This may be a simple sentence, but says a lot about being who say. It indicates that the confidence does not always found among other beings.

But why people need affirmation? Why do people need to be affirmed? It is the existence regarding affirmation?

The statement of affirmation is a powerful technique to empower people’s subconscious. Once the subconscious is disciplined for an affirmation, it becomes a positive action for the conscious mind. Through affirmation, beings are empowered to do, to work and to fight for more in life. Affirmation allows people to believe in themselves and put their ideas into action.

Affirmation is a combination of verbal and visual techniques of a preferred state of mind of a person. Strong affirmation can be very powerful, and can be used by almost everyone to achieve their goals and fulfill their wishes. However, the strength of an affirmation depends on how strong or weak an affirmation is.

Affirmation is simply an assertion made by a person on something or a state of being. A person may affirm anything that he chooses to attain, just like “I now have a good life.” Being healthy in mind, body and soul, may also be possible through affirmation.

A strong affirmation must be appeared in the present tense to be more effective. The statement “I am happy now” is more effective than a statement saying: “I am going to be happy.” Affirmation should always be in positive terms, it is supposed to work for you and not against you. Instead of saying “I’m not sad”, why not make a statement saying:” I’m happy.”

Affirmation must be made of simple words but concise, and must be brief to be more effective. A very long affirmation can work the other way, instead of creating a positive mindset for a person. A short affirmation can be easily spoken and repeated by one person. It can serve as a mantra can be repeated again and again.

To be effective, an affirmation must be repeated. Repetition works and influences of the subconscious, which in turn motivates a person to acting out his affirmation. A person who creates the affirmation should be deeply involved in the words he’ll be used, so he will be able to actualize his affirmation. Writing words that one believes in can be very powerful, and can be used to create an affirmation.

However, creation of a single affirmation and repeating a million times would not make affirmation state of mind. The important thing is to live with affirmation and to be open minded enough to do the things that would help affirmation to be a reality. Feeling the affirmation and applying in day life will help the affirmation becomes reality.

Although affirmation is generally used to make a better person, it can also be used to boost or confirm the value of another person. By affirming the existence of another person, you help to build self-esteem.

Affirmation is a very simple thing that can make a big difference in the life of a person. This can be a great motivator and can make things happen.

Subliminal learning is the use of techniques that allow people to learn, even without any conscious effort at all. As regards to, exposure to stimuli that are not or barely aware of – to display images on the screen at times barely audible, the words are repeated again and again in a volume above the threshold hearing, or other such stimuli. The discovery of these methods has aroused the enthusiasm of many people because of their ability to enhance the learning process and to acquire new skills more effective and painless.

The possibilities are endless. Imagine, if this were true, would be able to learn new things without having to tighten their belt and do the dirty work. For example, it was argued that learning a language is theoretically possible to use subliminal techniques – no need books, teachers and other learning tools, with the exception of the team Subliminal learning. You do not waste time learning from boring language. You might have subliminal on your computer while you do other things – and in some programs – even while you sleep.
Some common applications include subliminal learning new languages, vocabulary, music, and even programs of behavior modification.

It may seem ridiculous at first, but once a good understanding of learning theories – and the potential and limitations of subliminal learning – you realize it really is not unlikely, after all. For example, there are actually things you do every day we learn, even if they are made no conscious effort to do so.

Ever wondered how a song got stuck in your head even if you hate the song and did your best not to pay attention to that? Somehow, the chorus of the song meat finds its way into your subconscious and never disappears, right?

What about words? Have not you wondered how a particular word came into his vocabulary, although he never agreed to try to memorize the word or use it on purpose? You’ve probably heard the word somewhere – perhaps at work or friends, or even television or radio, and suddenly hop, have permanent residence in your head – without notice.

Now, looking at these examples, people began to wonder about the possibilities if you could push the envelope and take advantage of this particular whim, in a learning process somehow “accelerate” the pace learning among students. Thus was arose the wonders of subliminal learning.

Scientists have dug hard and deep on the issue of subliminal learning. Although it is theoretically possible to have these techniques do much for accelerated learning, there are always skeptics who seek empirical evidence from scientific studies before considering subliminal learning. Gradually, these researchers have come to learn more about how process and knowledge store, and receive encouraging results of its studies on subliminal learning.

On a small scale, are convinced that certain skills can be acquired through subliminal learning – particularly those who are not “high” data processing such as patterns, words, figures and other visual data easily. Other skills such as languages and mathematics are “high process” skills that require attention and thinking when you’re done. However, learning these skills is beneficial even when learned about subliminal learning.

“Are there still original ideas in the world?”
“I hit a brilliant idea, what can I do?”
“I have failed many times before that I cannot think of anything else to solve this problem”.

These statements reflect the thought of a person who has renounced creativity. Unfortunately, many people share this mindset. They had never viewed creativity as a tool to improve or improvise in life in all its diversity.

A situation that requires a solution can be approached in various ways. There is no single way to solve a problem. Being creative opens new horizons and can bring many benefits. Creativity can sometimes be misinterpreted as an obstinate attitude. Some people think that insisting on doing things differently is a sign of stubbornness.

Never hold a good idea. Everyone is free to interpret in their own way. Any interpretation is the creativity at work by itself. A person who enjoys creative thinking can easily find creative solutions to situations that require a quick solution.

For example, a man’s car stalled on a deserted road, due to a rubber hose leaking on the cooling system. No luck! Of all places, it had to occur in remote locations.

If he has a gum in his pocket, he may well be a solution at hand. Top of the gum and patch the leak. To keep the gum in place, tie it with a cloth. This quick fix may do the trick if he can drive for miles without overheating the engine to a service station to have replaced the leaking pipe.

There was a television series called “MacGyver.” The main character is a type extremely creative and crafty. Whenever you’re in a good solution, try to find a way to cope with quick fixes available materials around.

In a way, creativity is a learning process never stops. Learning, the benefits are incalculable, you can use in real situations.

To be creative may need you to thinking outside the box, your spirit of adventure in the rare. You can never be sure of his ideas until proven otherwise. Although there is no perceived danger involved, it is always worth trying.

Inventions are the product of creative minds. The field of science, in any branch you can play, is an invention itself. Without creative minds, science would have been a neglected area of knowledge.

It should be noted that most adaptations to improve or improvise are aimed at improving current conditions. In analyzing the claims of honest creativity, the intention is to achieve good for all and the desire to build a lasting peace. After all, that intention is what counts most.

Erich Fromm wrote clearly that, “The conditions of creation are: to be puzzled, to concentrate, to accept conflict and tension, being born every day and have a sense of self.”

A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle

Is humanity ready for a transformation of consciousness, an inner flowering so radical and profound that compared to it the flowering of plants, no matter how beautiful, is only a pale reflection? Can human beings lose the density of their conditioned mind structures and become like crystals or precious stones, so to speak, transparent to the light of consciousness? Can they defy the gravitational pull of materialism and materiality and rise above identification with form that keeps the ego in place and condemns them to imprisonment within their own personality?

The possibility of such a transformation has been the central message of the great wisdom teachings of humankind. The messengers – Buddha, Jesus, and others, not all of them known – were humanity’s early flowers. They were precursors, rare and precious beings. A widespread flowering was not yet possible at that time, and their message became largely misunderstood and often greatly distorted. It certainly did not transform human behavior, except in a small minority of people.

Is humanity more ready now than at the time of those early teachers? Why should this be so? What can you do, if anything, to bring about or accelerate this inner shift? What is it that characterizes the old egoic state of consciousness, and by what signs is the new emerging consciousness recognized? These and other essential questions will be addressed in this book. More important, this book itself is a transformational device that has come out of the arising new consciousness. The ideas and concepts presented here may be important, but they are secondary. They are no more than signposts pointing toward awakening. As you read, a shift takes place within you.

This book’s main purpose is not to add new information or beliefs to your mind or to try to convince you of anything, but to bring about a shift in consciousness; that is to say, to awaken. In that sense, this book is not “interesting”. Interesting means you can keep your distance, play around with ideas and concepts in your mind, agree or disagree. This book is about you. It will change your state of consciousness or it will be meaningless. It can only awaken those who are ready. Not everyone is ready yet, but many are, and with each person who awakens, the momentum in the collective consciousness grows, and it becomes easier for others. If you don’t know what awakening means, read on. Only by awakening can you know the true meaning of that word. A glimpse is enough to initiate the awakening process, which is irreversible. For some, that glimpse will come while reading this book. For many others who may not even have realized it, the process has already begun. This book will help them recognize it. For some,
it may have begun through loss or suffering; for others, through coming into contact with a spiritual teacher or teaching, through reading The Power of Now or some other spiritually alive and therefore transformational book – or any combination of the above. If the awakening process has begun in you , the reading of this book will accelerate and intensify it.

An essential part of the awakening is the recognition of the unawakened you, the ego as it thinks, speaks and acts, as well as the recognition of the collectively conditioned mental processes that perpetuate the unawakened state. That is why this book shows the main aspects of the ego and how they operate in the individual as well as in the collective. This is important for two related reasons: The first is that unless you know the basic mechanics behind the workings of the ego, you won’t recognize it, and it will trick you into identifying with it again and again. This means it takes you over, an impostor pretending to be you. The second reason is that the act of recognition itself is one of the ways in which awakening happens. When you recognize the unconsciousness in you, that which makes the recognition possible is the arising consciousness, is awakening. You cannot fight against the ego and win, just as you cannot fight against darkness. The light of consciousness is all that is necessary. You are that light.
